Create your own T-shirt
business
As a person always in search of creativity, Charly Bagusat, 20,
has found his ground in visual arts. He carved his way with the
aid of Photoshop and colourful imagination towards creating
his very own T-Shirt business.
This inclination towards visual arts has accompanied him
throughout most of his life and brought him to study
Communication – a perfect mixture between an artistic and
a more business-driven career. During this time, he
developed the idea for a business which would allow him to
work on something he loves, as well allow others to enjoy his
work. He founded a T-shirt brand, called Karlchen.
The name of the brand refers to his childhood (and his real
name, Karl), a stage of his life he remembers as being the most genuine and creative. When he was a child, he recalls always trying to build things and running around with scraped knees; it is this philosophy of life that Charly tries to follow when designing his T-shirts.
Charly was first introduced to Photoshop during his gap year, while working in a publishing firm in Berlin. He was exposed to different programs, which tickled his curiosity to learn more about how to master them.
The idea for his brand came to his mind when a friend asked him to make him a T-shirt. At first, his designs were a composition of other images. However, when he decided to take his business to the next level, with the help of his sister who just graduated from a business school in Vienna, he realized that he needed to rethink the designs of his T-shirt.

Charly is currently working on a new collection with his own designs, which are made through drawings and photographs. This way, not only does he have the satisfaction of creating his own images, but also dodges the possible risk of copyright infringement.
